The American Hotel & Lodging Foundation (AHLA Foundation) has awarded about just one million dollars to 336 hospitality college students for the educational university 12 months of 2022-23.
This year’s varied pool of recipients includes 51 per cent pupils of colour and 72 p.c woman learners ranging in age from 18 to 70. With 6-affiliated Traditionally black faculties and universities (HCBUs), the lodge sector basis carries on its powerful commitment to supporting the foreseeable future of hospitality, providing economical guidance to deserving scholarship recipients.
In the next yr of its partnership with 10 community schools, the variety of two-12 months college or university college students awarded scholarships has developed by 56 p.c to 88 recipients. The remaining 248 recipients are enrolled in four-yr hospitality programmes at 71 institutions across 36 states. To day, AHLA Foundation has contributed virtually $16 million nationwide.
